Show Us Your Moves Submission: Lovely Lei cosplays as Megurine Luka

Today we have another entrant for our Show Us Your Moves contest!  Here we have Lovely Lei as Megurine Luka from Vocaloid, using our Persephone Wig in Cotton Candy Pink (discontiued. May consider Princess Pink) to help improve on her look.  Look below to see Lei’s cosplay and some more info about herself.

– What got you into cosplay?

I actually got myself into cosplaying, by telling myself I loved a character and want to do my best impression of them.

– How long have you been cosplaying?

I’ve been cosplaying for about 5 years but only became public 4 years ago.

– Were there any particular reasons you selected this character?

Megurine Luka of the Vocaloids is my absolute favorite Vocaloid.  I find that her songs all have a very similar type of connection to my life in one way or another.  I also love the huge amount of outfits she has from Computer Program to Witch to Queen.

– What would consider the most difficult part of this costume?

The skirt, I’m not normally the type to have so much showing and because I’m such a small person my cosplays often get larger on my cause of weight change, so from time to time the skirt gets a little bigger then needed and will shift the slit forward.

– What cosplay would you like to do in the future?

Something large, I would love to do another outfit of Luka’s by the name of Sandplay of the Singing Dragon.  I’ve always had a soft spot for huge ballroom dresses.

– What’s your favorite part about cosplaying?

Meeting and spending time with new and old friends who enjoy the same things.

– What do you like about our wig?

It is so soft and easy to untangle, I often dance in them so they do get tangled.  Yet a quick wash, and brush and it’s like I just took her out of the bag.

– What does cosplay mean to me?

A way to express myself, and meet people from all over the  US and sometimes the world.
